Correctional Institutions

This industry comprises government establishments primarily engaged in managing and operating correctional institutions. The facility is generally designed for the confinement, correction, and rehabilitation of adult and/or juvenile offenders sentenced by a court.

• Associated Marine Institutes, Inc. (AMI) - is a non-profit organization that operates over 50 programs for juvenile offenders in Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Louisiana, New Mexico, South Carolina, Texas, and Virginia. AMI programs consist of residential and day treatment programs for adjudicated youth and six alternative schools for at-risk students in Florida and Illinois. "Kids First!"
• Bajito Onda - A non profit foundation dedicated to giving all youth positive educational lifestyle alternatives.
• California Youth Authority - Operates all state-level juvenile correctional institutions and provides education, training, and treatment services for youthful offenders.
• Crossroads Wilderness Institute, Inc., "CWI", is a not-for-profit residential facility for fourteen to eighteen year old males sent by the Department of Juvenile Justice, "DJJ"; established and continuously operated since 1986 on twenty acres of property in East Charlotte County, Florida.
• Florida Department of Juvenile Justice - Community programs, facilities and delinquency intervention information.
• Oregon Youth Authority - Provides a continuum of services to protect the public and reduce juvenile crime.
• Prince George Youth Custody Center - Provides a unique view of a youth detention center since it is written by the residents.
• Texas Youth Commission - Provides a summary of the juvenile justice system as it operates in Texas (balancing public protection and juvenile rehabilitation) and outlines current programs.
• Utah Division of Youth Corrections - Protect the community by providing the most appropriate setting for the youthful offender.
