Multilateralism

Multilateralism is a term in international relations that refers to multiple countries working in concert on a given issue.
Most international organizations, such as the United Nations and the World Trade Organization, OSCE are multilateral in nature.
- Bank for International Settlements (BIS) - Coordinates regulations in the fields of financial services to promote international financial stability. Publications available include a compendium of documents of the Basel Committee on Banking Supervision.
- The Cairns Group - Trade group of 17 agricultural exporting countries, accounting for one-third of the world’s agricultural exports. Works for the reduction of tariffs, domestic subsidies and export subsidies.
- G24 - Intergovernmental Group of Twenty-Four on International Monetary Affairs and Development - Concerts the position of developing countries on monetary and development finance issues.
- International Organization for Migration (IOM) - Promoting humane and orderly policies in the movement of persons across borders. Supports migrant health protections, assisted returns, counter-trafficking, and technical cooperation in migration.
- Multi-Governmental Organizations - Extensive directory of web sites.
- Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC) - Association of 56 Islamic states promoting Muslim solidarity in economic, social, and political affairs. [Arabic, English, French]
- Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) - Global organization dedicated to stability in and shared control of the petroleum markets.
- Unrepresented Nations and Peoples Organisation (UNPO) - An international organisation created by nations and peoples around the world who are not represented as such in the world's principal international organisations, such as the United Nations.
- World Customs Organization (WCO) - Develops standards and provides technical support for the harmonization of procedures governing the movement of people and commodities.
- World Tourism Organization (WTO) - Global forum for tourism policy issues and a practical source of tourism know-how.
