Waldorf education (also known as Steiner or Steiner-Waldorf education) is a pedagogical movement based upon the educational philosophy of Rudolf Steiner, the founder of anthroposophy. The education emphasizes the role of the imagination in both teaching and learning. It aims to develop thinking that includes a creative as well as an analytic aspect and to provide young people the basis with which to develop into free, moral and integrated individuals.
