  • British Columbia Aviation Museum - The British Columbia Aviation Museum is dedicated to preserving aircraft and artifacts related to the history of aviation in Canada, with emphasis on British Columbia aviation history.   • Calgary Aero Space Museum - The site has pictures and stories of Canada's aircraft, aviators, and aviation industries from the First World War on up to the Space Shuttle. Located in Calgary, Alberta, near the international airport.
  • Canada's Aviation Hall of Fame - Official site recognizing the contributions of Canada's aviators, builders and administrators. Museum & collections are a part of the Reynolds-Alberta Museum in Wetaskiwin, between Edmonton and Red Deer, Alberta, Canada.
  • Canadian Bushplane Heritage Centre - Located in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario and dedicated to preserving the history of Bush Flying and Forest Protection in Canada.

  • Canadian National Aviation Museum - Information and images of aircraft from the aeronautical collection located in Ottawa, Ontario.
  • Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum - A rich site with details and photos of the museum's excellent collection of military aircraft. Located in Mount Hope, Ontario.
  • Collingwood Classic Aircraft Foundation - Museum and restoration workshop. Collection includes deHavilland Tiger Moth, Aeronca Champ, Fleet Canuck, Smith Miniplane, Stinson 105, Link trainer, and an extensive photo archive of regional and national aviation history. Located at the Collingwood Municipal Airport, Collingwood, Ontario.
  • Greenwood Military Aviation Museum - A relatively new museum dedicated to the aviation history of Greenwood from its founding in 1942. Located in Greenwood, Nova Scotia.
  • Nanton Lancaster Society and Air Museum - Site describes the Society, Museum and the WW 2 Lancaster bomber that is the primary focus, as well as other aircraft and vehicles from Bomber Command. Located in Nanton, Alberta.
  • RCAF Memorial Museum - The site features many photos and much information about the museum as well as the recovery and restoration of the Halifax bomber NA337. Located in Trenton, Ontario.
  • Reynolds-Alberta Museum - The Aviation Hangar at the Reynolds-Alberta Museum features one of the most significant displays of flight memorabilia and restored vintage aircraft in North America. Located in Wetaskiwin, Alberta.
  • Shearwater Aviation Museum - Describes the Museum, its goals, and collection. It is intended to present the history and technology of Canadian Maritime Military Aviation. Located in Shearwater, Nova Scotia.
  • Western Canada Aviation Museum - The site represents Canada's second largest Aviation Museum and has descriptions of its facilities, as well as representative photos of its aircraft. Located in Winnipeg, Manitoba.

  • Air Heritage Museum - Museum has an active restoration shop and the site has photos and information of the work. Located in Beaver Falls, Pennsylvania.
  • Air Mobility Command Museum - Museum is housed in an historic hangar, and the site provides a tour as well as photos with info on the aircraft collection. Located at Dover AFB in Dover, Delaware.
  • Air Victory Museum - A very good site promoting the museum with photos and details of the aircraft collection. Located in Lumberton, New Jersey.
  • Air Zoo and Aviation History Museum - Site provides a fine overview of the museum and lists the museum's extensive aircraft collection (mostly warbirds), but provides details and photos on very few. Located in Kalamazoo, Michigan.
  • Airline History Museum - An organization dedicated to restoring, preserving, and exhibiting propeller driven commercial aircraft including a Lockheed "Super G" Constellation, a Martin 404, and a Douglas DC-3. Located at the Historic Downtown Airport, in Kansas City, Missouri.
  • Airpower Museum (AAA) - Features a large collection of antique and civil aircraft, many of which are flown regularly. Located in Blakesburg, Iowa.
  • Alaska Aviation Heritage Museum - An interesting site emphasizing the preservation and public presentation of Alaska's aviation history, especially the civilian pioneering era, 1913-1950. Located in Anchorage, Alaska.
  • Alaskaland Pioneer Air Museum - A very basic site without much information of the museum or its collection. However, there is available a fine collection of rare old photos and a couple of Alaska stories. Located in Fairbanks, Alaska.
  • American Airpower Heritage Museum - The website offers a virtual tour of the primary Confederate Air Force museum, but no detail of its excellent collection of military aircraft. Located in Midland, Texas.
  • American Airpower Museum at Republic - A new museum commemorating the World War Two big iron birds, especially the Republic P-47 "Thunderbolt". Site has good info and photos of WW2 aircraft. Located in Farmingdale, N. Y. (Long Island) at Republic Airport.
  • American Helicopter Museum - The site presents museum information and a some pictures, but few details or photos of its collection and exhibits. Located at Brandywine Airport just outside of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
  • American Military Heritage Foundation Museum - Site has information and photos of the mostly WW II aircraft, including a PV-2 "Harpoon", that the museum maintains. Located in Indianapolis, Indiana.
  • American Wings Air Museum - Home of the OV-1 Mohawk Association with some information about the museum which promotes preservation of the OV-1 Mohawk, and other aircraft used as liaison, FAC, and reconnisance. Museum is located on Janes Field, Blaine, Minnesota.
  • Arkansas Air Museum - A very informative site dealing with the golden age of aviation and local history. A nice collection of mostly vintage aircraft with details and photos. Located in Fayetteville, Arkansas.
  • Army Aviation Museum - Site not as impressive as the actual museum. Great collection, especially helicopters, with a complete listing, but no photos. Located at Ft. Rucker, Alabama (near Dothan).
  • Aviation Cadet Museum - A new museum is being built that will exemplify the spirit of the great men who are responsible for building the USAF. Located in Eureka Springs, Arkansas.
  • Aviation Museum of Kentucky - The site presents museum information and directions. Located at Blue Grass Airport in Lexington, Kentucky.
  • Aviation Museum of Santa Paula - A new museum site outlining the history and development of the historic Santa Paula Airport. Located in Santa Paula, California.
  • CAF Museum- CenTex - An excellent site featuring the aircraft and artifacts of the Central Texas Wing. Located in San Marcos, Texas.
  • Carolinas Aviation Museum - An unofficial (but only) website for one of the newest and fastest growing museums in the U.S. Located in Charlotte, North Carolina
  • Castle Air Museum - An excellent site presenting one of the best collections of military aircraft on the west coast with information on all of them (including the B-36). Great teacher's guide. Located in Atwater, California.
  • Cavanaugh Flight Museum - Features an outstanding collection of aircraft with excellent write-ups and photos. Located at Addison Airport just outside of Dallas, Texas.
  • Central California Historical Military Museum - Volunteers are preserving the 1942 Army Air Forces training base as a historical monument to the instructor pilots who trained and the young aviators who learned. Located at Eagle Field, Dos Palos, CA.
  • Coffeyville Aviation Heratige Museum - Site is a simple page discussing the museum project with no information about the museum itself. Located in Coffeyville, Kansas.
  • College Park Aviation Museum - Commemorating "The World's Oldest Operating Airport". Located in College Park, Maryland.
  • Combat Air Museum - Presents a wide variety of military and aviation oriented memorabilia, ranging in time from the first World War to the space shuttle program. Site has good photos of most of the museum's large aircraft collection. Located at Forbes Field in Topeka, Kansas.
  • Commemorative Air Force Museum - A basic site introducing one of the premier fighter collections in the world. The thirty-eight (38) aircraft on exhibit are all flyable. Located at Falcon Field in Mesa, Arizona.
  • Cradle of Aviation Museum - A museum with a great collection, now has a new and much improved website. Located in Garden City, New York.
  • Crawford Auto- Aviation Museum - Part of the comprehensive site for the Western Reserve Historical Society, but the Crawford does present good info and photos on some of the National Air Race planes and pilots. Located in Cleveland, Ohio.
  • Dare County Regional Airport Museum - A nice site illustrating the museum which emphasises the local airport history. Located in Manteo, North Carolina.
  • EAA Air Adventure Museum - An excellent site with rich historical content and photos. The museum is located in Oshkosh, Wisconsin.
  • Eagle Field USAAF Training Detachment Museum - Museum offering dinner dances, military vehicles, vintage aircraft and automobiles. Dedicated to preserving historical military artifacts and the memories of heroic veterans.
  • Empire State Aerosciences Museum (ESAM) - Details the museum and its programs, and lists the aircraft in its large collection. Located at the Schenectady County Airport in Scotia, New York.
  • Estrella Warbirds Museum - An interesting site for an ambitious air museum and research center on Central California's Golden Coast. Located on the municipal arport at Paso Robles, California
  • Evergreen Aviation Educational Center - Site is the home of the HK-1 flying boat known as the "Spruce Goose". A great aircraft collection with photos and history along with the Hughes flying boat story. Located in McMinnville, Oregon.
  • Fantasy of Flight - An excellent collection, but only general information on the web site. Located in Polk City, Florida.
  • Flying Leatherneck Aviation Museum - The MCAS Miramar "Flying Leathernecks" Museum (formerly the El Toro Command Museum) is the only Marine Corps Aviation museum and has forty-one airframes ranging from World War II to present day jet aircraft. Located at MCAS Miramar, California.
  • Flying Tigers Warbird Restoration Museum - A new website under development for Tom Reilly's warbird restoration facility. Located in Kissimmee, Florida.
  • Frontiers of Flight Museum - Illustrates the museum's displays and artifacts. Located in the terminal Building at Love Field, Dallas, Texas.
  • FWA Aviation Museum - Site represents a local museum with various artifacts and memorabilia and features early pilots Art Smith and Lt. Paul Baer. Located in the terminal building at Fort Wayne International Airport, Fort Wayne, Indiana.
  • Glenn H. Curtiss Museum - The site describes the museum and its offerings of early aviation and local history. Located in Hammondsport, New york.
  • Glenn L. Martin Aviation Museum - Excellent site with rich historical info, especially about Martin aircraft, but with few photos. Located near Baltimore at Little River, Maryland.
  • Hangar 10 Flying Museum - The museum features some rare and classic aircraft, and the site presents photos and information on each. Located in Denton, Texas.
  • Heritage of Eagles Air Museum - The website reflects the museum which is dedicated to the preservation, presentation and interpretation of the Eagle Field Army Air Forces Training Base built in 1942. Located at Eagle Field near Dos Palos, California.
  • Hill Aerospace Museum - An excellent Air Force museum site with much historical info and many photos of its large aircraft collection. Located at Hill AFB in Roy, Utah.
  • Hiller Aviation Museum - A new museum with a lot of potential, but only a general information web site. Located at the San Carlos Airport in San Carlos, California.
  • 1941 Historic Aircraft Group Museum - Offers visitors hands-on, high-touch upclose aircraft exhibits. Group and school tours by appointment. Vintage warbird airshow 2nd weekend in July. Located in Geneseo, New York.
  • Howard Cannon Aviation Museum - Article from local publication describing the place. Located in the main terminal of McCarren International Airport, Las Vegas, Nevada.
  • Indiana Aviation Museum - Centered on the warbird collection of James Read. Located in Valparaiso, Indiana. Details of exhibits, programs and airshows.
  • International Sport Aviation Museum (Sun-n-Fun) - An excellent site featuring homebuilt and experimental aircraft with photos and details of each aircraft in the museum. The museum is located in Lakeland, Florida at the Linder Regional Airport where the annual Sun-n-Fun Fly-in is held.
  • International Women's Air & Space Museum - Features exhibits and memorabilia of women in air and space. Research library, special events and gift shop. Located at Burke Lakefront Airport in Cleveland, Ohio.
  • Iowa Aviation Preservation Center - Features several vintage aircraft and the Iowa Aviation Hall of Fame. Located in Greenfield, Iowa.
  • Kansas Aviation Museum - A nice site with museum information, history, and photos of the aircraft collection. Located in Wichita, Kansas.
  • Lawrence D. Bell Aircraft Museum - The site and museum preserve the memory of an aviation pioneer and highlight his contributions to the industry. Located in Mentone, Indiana.
  • Lone Star Flight Museum - The museum houses one of the finest collections of flyable WW2 aircraft in the nation; however, the website does not detail the collection. Located in Galveston, Texas.
  • Maine Air Museum - This web site is a product of the Maine Aviation Historical Society (MAHS) which is dedicated to preserving Maine's aviation history and operating the Maine Air Museum. Located in Bangor, Maine
  • MAPS Air Museum - Site describes the museum well and has photos and information on the aircraft collection and restorations. Located in North Canton, Ohio.
  • March Field Museum - A museum of primarily Air Force aircraft with an excellent post-WW2 collection. Website navigation leads to other sites for details. Located in Riverside, California.
  • Mid-Atlantic Air Museum - An interesting site featuring a rare P-61 restoration as well as the equally rare Custer Channel Wing. Located in Reading, Pennsylvania.
  • Mighty Eighth Air Force Heritage Museum - The site chronicles the history of the 8th Air Force during WW 2 and after. Many links to associated groups. Located in Pooler, Georgia (near Savannah).
  • Minnesota Aviation History & Education Center - Dedicated to telling the dramatic Minnesota aviation story through interpretation of its fascinating collections and of the role of Minnesota pioneers in molding the technological progress from the earliest days into the future. Located in St. Paul, Minnesota.
  • Mitchell Gallery of Flight - The site and the gallery feature artifacts and history about aviation in the Milwaukee area. Located at Gen. Mitchell International Airport in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
  • Moffett Field Museum - Home of the Moffett Field Historical Society and Museum. Located on Moffett Field, Sunnyvale, California.
  • Museum of Aviation - A site that represents the second largest USAF museum well. Museum has an extensive aircraft collection and the site presents a description of each with some photos. Located at Robins AFB in Warner Robins, Georgia.
  • Museum of Flight - A fine site representative of the largest aviation museum on the west coast. Good historical information and photos. Located in Seattle, Washington.
  • Museum of Flying - Home of the original Donald Douglas Museum now houses flying World War 2 fighter aircraft. Located in Santa Monica, California.
  • National Air and Space Museum - A site representative of the premier aerospace museum- very extensive with rich content. Located in Washington, D.C.
  • National Agricultural Aviation Museum - Site outlines the history of agricultural aviation and the role of the aircraft displayed at the museum, but presents no photos. Located within the Jim Buck Ross Agricutural Museum Complex in Jackson, Mississippi.
  • National Museum of Naval Aviation - The finest site on the web for those interested in naval aviation. Lots of detailed information and photos. Located in Pensacola, Florida.
  • National Soaring Museum - The only U.S. museum dedicated to soaring flight. Superbly located on Harris Hill in Elmira, New York.
  • National Warplane Museum - The site has excellent information and photos of the museum's collection of military aircraft. Located in New York at the Elmira- Corning Airport.
  • New England Air Museum - Excellent site with lots of information on both civil and military aircraft. Located at Bradley Field in Windsor Locks, Connecticut.
  • New Jersey Aviation Hall of Fame & Museum - Site promotes New Jersey's 207-year aviation heritage and the various displays at the museum. Located at Teeterboro Airport in teeterboro, New Jersey.
  • Niagara Aerospace Museum - A new website for a relatively new museum. Located in Niagara Falls, NY
  • Octave Chanute Aerospace Museum - The site presents a good overview of the museum with photos of its aircraft. Located in Rantoul, Illinois.
  • Ohio History of Flight Museum - The museum has a fine collection of "Golden Age" aircraft, and the site presents photos of most. Located in Columbus, Ohio.
  • Olympic Flight Museum - Site is evolving, but presents the museum and photos of its aircraft well. Located at Olympia Regional Airport, Olympia, Washington.

  • Pacific Coast Air Museum - Site provides detailed coverage of the museum and its aircraft. Located at Sonoma County Airport, Santa Rosa, California.
  • Palm Springs Air Museum - Site gives good coverage of the museum with some pictures and background of Bob Pond's collection of WW2 aircraft. Located at Palm Springs Airport, Palm Springs, California.
  • Patriots Point Naval & Maritime Museum - Site features the carrier Yorktown, CV-10, (as well as several other ships) with excellent background information and photos of naval aviation. Located at Charleston Harbor in Mt. Pleasant, South Carolina.
  • Paul E. Garber Preservation, Restoration,and Storage Facility - Site shows highlights of restoration work, lists artifacts and aircraft on display during the available walking tour, and tells how to make reservations for the walking tour (about three hours). Located in Suitland, Maryland.
  • Pearson Air Museum - A pre-WWII Army Air Corps Airfield preserved with flight capable aircraft on display and interactive hands-on activities for the children. Includes historic photos of the pioneering days of aviation in the Pacific Northwest.
  • Pima Air & Space Museum - A rich and extensive site that reflects a first class museum. A great collection of over 200 aircraft, most with complete info and photos. Located in Tucson, Arizona.
  • Planes of Fame Air Museum - A fairly extensive site with background and some great pictures of the museum's aircraft and restorations. (Also some coverage of the museum's Grand Canyon location at Valle, Arizona.) Located at Chino Airport in Chino, California.
  • Prairie Aviation Museum - Site includes photos of recent displays, and information about the museum's aircraft collection. Located in Bloomington, Illinois.
  • Pueblo Weisbrod Aircraft Museum & B-24 Museum - Site provides information on both museums which share the same grounds. Excellent photos and info on the aircraft collection with additional photos and history of the B-24. Located in Pueblo, Colorado.

  • Rhinebeck Aerodrome Museum - The Old Rhinebeck Aerodrome is a living museum of antique aviation, located in Rhinebeck, New York. The web site gives much information about Old Rhinebeck's aircraft, shows, and history.
  • San Diego Aerospace Museum - Provides an on-line tour of the museum. Located in San Diego, California.
  • Southern Museum of Flight - Describes the museum and its facilities. Collection is listed, but no photos or details. Located in Birmingham, Alabama.
  • Southern Utah Air Museum - A new site promoting the museum and its restorations of various aircraft nose sections. Located in Washington, Utah (near St. George).
  • Strategic Air and Space Museum - Includes list of traveling exhibits, information about educational programs, exhibit of various military aircraft, missiles, spacecraft, with historical and technical notes. Located at Mahoney State Park near Omaha, Nebraska.
  • Texas Air Museum - Stinson Chapter - A simple site presenting the museum's history, goals, and some gift shop items. Located at Stinson Municipal Airport in San Antonio, Texas.
  • 8th Air Force Museum - An interesting site illustrating the Museum and its aircraft. Lots of good photos. Located on Barksdale AFB near Shreveport, Louisiana.
  • The 390th Memorial Museum - The museum contains the beautifully restored B-17G "I'll Be Around"as well as other WW II exhibits. Located in Tucson, Arizona on the grounds of the Pima Air and Space Museum.
  • Tillamook Air Museum - Site presents the museum in the old blimp hangar and features one of the best aircraft collections in the U.S. along with some photos and history. Located in Tillamook, Oregon.
  • Travis Air Museum - Site details the Travis AFB museum and its collection with lots of photos and information. Located in Fairfield, California.
  • Tulsa Air and Space Museum - Presents some very exciting facts about the region's rich aviation history, but the main goal is to challenge young people to learn and reach beyond their perceived limitations. Located in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
  • U.S. Naval Museum of Armament and Technology - Focuses on the heritage and accomplishments of the China Lake military-civilian-industry team.
  • USAF Museum of Aerospace Medicine - The site presents an excellent historic record and many early photographs of the Army Air Corps. Excellent archives of WW 2 aircraft with photos. Located at Brooks Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas.
  • Valiant Air Command Warbird Museum - Site provides general information on the museum, some restoration projects, and promotes the annual warbird airshow. Located in Titusville, Florida.
  • Vintage Aviation Historical Foundation - Supporting organization for the Pioneer Flight Museum which is dedicated to educating the public on the early years of aviation from 1910-1939. The museum is to be erected at the Old Kingsbury Aerodrome near Kingsbury, Texas,
  • Vintage Flying Museum - The museum features a rare B-17G Pathfinder Flying Fortress, "Chuckie", and a unique flock of warbirds as well as the facility that "Keeps 'Em Flying!" Located on the edge of Meacham International Airport in Fort Worth, Texas,
  • Virginia Aviation Museum - A relatively simple site that presents a fine collection of "Golden Age" aircraft with info and photos. Located in Sandston, Virginia.
  • WACO Aircraft Museum - Dedicated to WACO history and aircraft. The museum is located in Troy, Ohio.
  • War Eagles Air Museum - Museum has a collection of mostly warbirds, and the site presents photos of each. Located in Santa Teresa, New Mexico, which is just outside of El Paso, Texas.
  • Warren ICBM & Heritage Museum - Site presents the history and activities of one of the oldest U.S. military bases still operational. Located at Warren AFB, near Cheyenne, Wyoming.
  • Wedell-Williams Memorial Aviation Museum - A fine historical site detailing the Wedell-Williams Company and its air racers. Many interesting old photos. Located in Patterson, Louisiana.
  • Western Museum of Flight - This site features Northrup aircraft and has excellent background and photos on some unique aircraft. Located in Hawthorne, California.
  • Western North Carolina Air Museum - An interesting site featuring flight worthy vintage aircraft from 1917-1949. Located in Hendersonville, North Carolina.
  • Wings of Freedom Air Museum - The focus on the museum is a P-51D North American Mustang flown by WWII fighter pilot ace General Robin Olds. Other aircraft include an AT-6 and an F-104D as well as displays and engines. Located at the Huntington Municipal Airport, Huntington, Indiana.
  • Wings of History Air Museum - The museum features antique and classic aircraft (including sailplanes) and their restoration. Site furnishes some photos and history. Great info about their unique propeller shop with an excellent history of Ole Fahlin, the pioneer propeller maker. Located at South County Airport in San Martin, California.
  • Wings Over the Rockies Air and Space Museum - The official Air and Space Museum of the state of Colorado. Located at the former Lowry AFB in Denver, Colorado.
  • Yankee Air Force -Wurtsmith Division - Operates an aviation museum with several active restorations underway, including a WWII WACO CG-4 "Hadrian". Located on the former Wurtsmith AFB in Oscoda, Michigan.
  • Yankee Air Museum - Consists of an indoor aircraft display, an outdoor aircraft display (including a B-52), and numerous rooms devoted to specific aviation themes or time periods. Located in an historic hangar at Willow Run Airport in Ypsilanti, Michigan.
