  • Giants Ridge Ski Resort - Sixty Kilometers of trails, some designed to challenge the most serious skier and others to be enjoyed by recreational skiers. Lift access to three recreation trails (16 km) and the downhill portions of several advanced trails. Lighted skiing on three kilometers. Almost all trails are cleared to twenty feet wide with a groomed surface of eighteen feet. Most trails are groomed with classical tracks on the sides and a skating lane in the center. Biwabik, MN.

  Vermont

  • Blueberry Hill Inn - The ski lodge sits at just over 1600 feet, ensuring a fair dumping with any snowstorm. 75 kilometers of groomed and wilderness trails. Goshen, VT.
  • Bolton Valley Resort - Has the highest base elevation in the East, which means more snow, and a longer season. Bolton Valley, VT.
  • Burke Cross Country Ski Center - Over 80 Kilometres of skiing in the snow rich Northeast Kingdom. Evenly split between easiest, more difficult and most difficult, all trails are at least twelve feet wide and groomed for classic as well as skating. The loops range from roughly 1 to 12 km. West Burke, VT.
  • Carroll and Jane Rikert Ski Touring Center - 42 kilometers of varied and scenic trails for cross-country skiers and snowshoers of all abilities. Rental equipment, repairs, and waxing rooms are available in the Center’s Ski Shop. Owned and operated by Middlebury College. Middlebury, VT.

  • Grafton Ponds Recreation Center - Extensive trail network in Grafton, VT.
  • Green Mountain Ski Touring Center - 35 km of groomed trails wander through both hardwood and softwood forests and along the stream and through high open meadows with long views west over the town towards the Rochester and Roxbury ranges. Half of the trails are set with track and the other half are groomed for skating. There are also trails for snowshoeing. The ski shop rents skis, poles, and boots as well as Tubbs snowshoes.   • Blackwater Falls State Park - Over ten miles of trails. Many of these are groomed and maintained specifically for cross country skiing. A full service cross country ski center offers ski lessons and equipment rental. Open from mid-December through March 15th.
  • Canaan Valley Resort - 30 kilometers of marked, ungroomed trails.
  • Elk River Touring Center - Five kilometers of trails are adjacent to the center, with 35 additional kilometers criss-crossing the Highland Scenic Highway. Trails range in elevation from 2730' to 4750'. Average snowfall is 150-200" annually.
  • Timberline Resort - Located in Canaan Valley. Offers cross-country rentals, and mixed-use Nordic/Alpine trails.
  • White Grass Touring Center - Offers cross-country ski touring. Includes trails, rentals, clinics, backcountry tours and snowshoeing. Located in Davis.

  Wisconsin

  • Bear Crossing Cross Country Skiing, Snowshoeing & Hiking Trails - Groomed cross country skiing, snowshoeing and hiking trails through 276 acres in northern Wisconsin near the Chequamegon National Forest.
  • Blue Hills Trail - Recreational trail used for cross country skiing, snowshoeing, biking, and hiking. Site includes trail description, location information, condition updates during the winter season, and other information and links.
  • Justin Trails Resort - 12 km (8 mi.) of trails groomed for classic and freestyle cross country skiing. Sparta, Wisconsin.
  • Minocqua Winter Park - 75 km of Piston Bully groomed terrain with 65 km groomed for both skating and striding and 10 km groomed for striding only. Minocqua, WI.
